Traverses- Les Gardiens de la Montagne

Original Soundtrack Composition for a Documentary Film

I composed the original soundtrack for TRAVERSES – Les Gardiens de la Montagne, a contemplative ski and splitboard documentary exploring Slovakia's High Tatras mountains. The music score weaves atmospheric textures and organic soundscapes that mirror the film's intimate journey through remote mountain refuges, ancient forests, and encounters with local guardians of these "smallest high mountains in the world."

My composition emphasizes the documentary's core values of friendship, humility, and respectful mountain exploration, using carefully layered instrumentation to enhance moments of snowy descents, warm refuge evenings, and profound conversations with Tatra guides and activists. The soundtrack supports directors Thomas Delfino and Evan Rouillard's vision of slow, conscious travel by creating an immersive sonic environment that invites viewers to listen to the mountain rather than conquer it—perfectly complementing this award-worthy alpine documentary about the Carpathian peaks and the people who protect them.
